FREEPORT - A woman now faces 102 additional charges of animal cruelty, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
Nancy Payne, 49, was arrested Aug. 16 and charged with one count of animal cruelty. She was released Aug. 17.
Deputies secured a second warrant for Payne on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office. She turned herself in and was charged with 102 counts of animal cruelty.
Deputies searched her home for a second time Wednesday. Eight horses, two donkeys and three dogs were seized.
When they searched her home previously, 97 dogs and six horses were seized. All the animals were malnourished.
The Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
