FORT WALTON BEACH - The man killed in a wreck late Wednesday night at the intersection of Beal Parkway and Carmel Drive has been identified, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Timothy K. Cooley, 47, of Niceville, was walking across Beal Parkway at 11:48 p.m. when he failed to notice the car driven by Ashonda J. Ousley, a 31-year-old Fort Walton Beach resident, the FHP reported.
Ousley hit Cooley, who was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The FHP investigation is ongoing.
