CRESTVIEW – A woman was arrested after she was found with Xanax at the county jail.
On Aug. 3 the woman, 32-year-old Jamie Lee Ourso of Plant City, arrived at Okaloosa Correctional Institute to see her brother, who is incarcerated there.
A lady corrections officer prepared to search Ourso but before that could happen, a small plastic bag containing one pill fell from Ourso’s bra onto the floor.
The pill was identified as Xanax.
Ourso said the Xanax was hers, but admitted she knew controlled substances are not allowed in the facility.
She was charged with drug possession and smuggling contraband into a detention facility.
Her plea date is Sept. 10.
