FORT WALTON BEACH – A 54-year-old man who’d been smoking crack for two weeks was arrested after a deputy found his pipe during a traffic stop.
The stop occurred Aug. 4 on Colonial Drive in Fort Walton Beach. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy wrote in the arrest report that after the stop was wrapped up, the man allowed the deputy to search him and found a crack pipe in his pocket.
The man admitted the pipe was his and he’d been using it for about two weeks to smoke crack.
He was charged with drug equipment possession. His plea date is Aug. 27.
