Man wanted for six felonies caught

MILTON - A Santa Rosa County man wanted for six felonies was caught Tuesday, according to the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Task Force.

Santa Rosa sheriff's deputies and the Task Force arrested Michael Adam Burns at a home in the 9500 block of American Farms Road about 1 a.m.

Officers were watching the house when Burns stepped out onto the porch.

Burns, 27, allegedly bit the leg of a pregnant woman in Gulf Breeze a few days ago. He then broke off a table leg and threatened the woman, shouting “I am going to kill the babies.”

Burns is charged with aggravated battery/offender knowing victim was pregnant, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery by strangulation, assault, false imprisonment and obstructing justice.

Burns is being held in the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond.
