NICEVILLE – The following incidents were reported to Niceville Police in the recent past:
July 24: Police received a call that a woman was threatening to kill her husband of 71 years. Apparently he was on the telephone while their son was visiting, and she told him to get off the phone or she’d kill him. She said she was joking, and because they’d been married for 71 years she could threaten him if she wanted to.
July 27: A woman reported somebody threw a brick through the window of her car on Hickory Avenue. The woman said she took her dog for a walk at 2 p.m. and when she returned at 2:30, the passenger door window of her 2007 Saab was broken. She found a red landscape brick on the passenger floorboard. Nothing was missing from the car. Police have no suspects, and no suspicious activity was reported in the neighborhood.
July 27: A man told police his wife entered their 32nd Street residence and started to “destroy” it. Police were called to the residence by a report of a fight. The man said he and his wife were not fighting, but that she’d climbed through a window and started destroying the place. Then, she ran off. An officer found her on 32nd Street next to a church. She told the officer she ran because she had two warrants for her arrest. She accused her husband of hitting her and wanted to press charges against him. The officer noted she did not have any injuries suggestive of being hit. She was held until an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy arrived to take custody of her for the warrants. No charges were filed against her husband.
