FORT WALTON BEACH – A man who was flicking his high-beams at oncoming traffic was stopped by lawmen, who found marijuana in his car.

The stop was made on July 4 on Walter Martin Road. A Fort Walton Beach Police Department arrest report indicates the man was flashing his high beams at oncoming traffic, so he was stopped.

During the stop the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. When the car was searched, officers found a plastic bag containing a green plant material that tested positive for marijuana, along with a joint.

The man, who is 30 years old and lives in Fort Walton Beach, was charged with possession of marijuana less than 20 grams.

His plea date is July 23.
