NICEVILLE – Here are some of the incidents lawmen have been dealing with in the recent past:
June 7: A man called Niceville Police to say the kayak he’d reported missing last year turned up in his neighbor’s yard.
June 8: A man on Paradise Road said somebody had stolen jewelry from his home. He was to fill out an affidavit of complaint.
June 17: A woman reported a threat she’d received in a letter. The letter was addressed to her husband and said “ONE DOWN FOUR TO GO YOUR NEXT” typed in bold letters. Later that day, the woman’s husband called police and told them a coworker had received a similar letter. The post office was not able to determine where the letter came from.
June 18: A woman who works at Laura’s Pets and Horse Supply on John Sims Parkway said somebody stole $100 from their cash register.
