FORT WALTON BEACH — A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after threatening his ex-girlfriend with a bolt-action shotgun, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
The victim told deputies 52-year-old David Earl Ash was drunk when he arrived at the home they still share with her mother on Bob Sikes Boulevard near Denton Boulevard in Wright, according Ash’s arrest report.
Ash and the victim argued. The victim told him to “shut up” several times before Ash pointed the shotgun at her, the report said.
He told the victim she and her mother would “meet God by the end of the night,” according to the report.
The victim left the home while Ash remained inside. Deputies told Ash on a PA system to come out but he refused. He was arrested later inside the home.
The shotgun was found behind a refrigerator.
The victim’s mother corroborated her story.
Ash was charged with aggravated assault-domestic violence and resisting without violence.
