CRESTVIEW - A 15-year-old boy was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted robbery with a firearm, shooting into an occupied vehicle, burglary of a conveyance, and grand theft auto.
In May 2012, James Jamone Jackson, who was 14 at the time, went up to a vehicle with a firearm and demanded the victim's money.
The driver pulled away. Jackson fired one round at the vehicle, which hit a male passenger in the back seat. The passenger survived.
Jackson was sentenced as an adult and give a minimum sentence by Circuit Judge Michael Flowers.
