CHOCTAW BEACH - A community cleanup day has been scheduled for June 8 at Choctaw Beach Park on State Road 20.
From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. residents can dump trash, yard debris, tires, appliances and other junk in bins provided by Walton County. A crew with equipment also will be on hand to unload heavy items.
Trailers also will be available for residents to get rid of recyclables such as newspaper, glass, aluminum and other metals.
No hazardous waste will be accepted.
County Commissioner Sarah Comander is hosting the event.
