CRESTVIEW -- A 70-year-old woman admitted to cutting the lock on her water meter so she could receive service, according to her notice to appear from the Crestview Police Department.
She was cited for criminal mischief, theft and theft of utility services for the April 17 incident.
The woman stole 100 gallons of water, valued at $9 and 100 gallons of sewer services valued at $16.50. She also damaged a lock valued at $10.
After being read her rights, the suspect admitted she cut the lock to take a shower and flush the toilets twice.
