GULF BREEZE — A Baton Rouge, La., couple suffered minor injuries after their motorcycle was blown into the median by a gust of wind.

Louis C. Davis Jr., 40, was driving a 1998 Honda Gold Wing westbound on U.S. 98 in the left hand lane at 10:45 a.m. Monday when a powerful wind sent him and his passenger, 43-year-old Megan V. Davis, into the grass median, according to the Florida Highway Patrol press release.

The pair were thrown off the motorcycle near the intersection of Mohawk Trail. The bike overturned several times once in the median, according to FHP.

The motorcycle was totaled and the couple suffered minor injuries and were taken to Baptist Medical Park in Navarre.
No charges will be filed, according to FHP.
