DeFuniak Springs couple charged with manufacturing meth

DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — Two people have been are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine from a home on Mosley Lane.

Walton County sheriff’s deputies were called to the home of 55-year-old Zanda Brock after receiving complaints about a possible “shake-and-bake” meth lab there.

Brock and her boyfriend, 49-year-old Steven Downing, were at the home when deputies arrived. They found three active cook vessels containing more than 200 grams of methamphetamine, according to a news release from the sheriff’s Office.

Smoking devices, digital scales and chemicals commonly used to make methamphetamine also were found.

Brock and Downing were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were booked into the Walton County Jail.
