FORT WALTON BEACH – A man who was found slumped over at the wheel of a Cadillac was arrested on drug charges, Fort Walton Beach Police say.
On March 26 an officer was patrolling on Scottwood Drive when he saw the car parked in front of a house and a man slumped over in the driver’s seat.
As the officer approached, he saw the man had a hypodermic syringe behind his left ear and a baggie containing a white, powdery substance in his lap.
The officer opened the door and detained the man, now identified as 22-year-old Christopher Warren Haynes of Fort Walton Beach.
The powdery substance tested positive for cocaine.
When the officer searched the car he found a digital scale and a package of razor blades. The scale tested positive for cocaine and marijuana.
