Nominations for Women’s Wall of Honor due April 15

The Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women is taking nominations for the 2013 Women’s Wall of Honor.

Nominations are due April 15.

The commission hosts a ceremony each year to honor women in the county who have contributed to the well-being of children, families and residents.  This year’s ceremony will be at 10 a.m. May 7 in the auditorium at the University of West Florida Emerald Coast in Fort Walton Beach.

The honorees’ names will be placed on a plaque in the library on the campus with a book nearby with a biographical page for each woman.

The nomination form and more information can be found at http://www.occsw.org/wallofhonor.htm.  The form, a short paragraph (100 words or less) about the nominee, her photo and a $100 donation to the commission should be submitted to the Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women, P.O.
