CRESTVIEW — Firefighters were at the scene of a suspicious fire at an abandoned house for nearly 16 hours Wednesday night and Thursday.
They were called to 604 S. Wilson Street at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when smoke and flames were spotted according to Marquis Johnson, battalion chief for the Crestview Fire Department. Firefighters were at the scene until 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
The house had no power of any kind.
Johnson said the home was a total loss and estimated damage at $15,000.
The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
